Workforce Systems Ltd
Workforce Systems Ltd is an established IT Support company based in Bolton, England. Since the end of 2006 I have been collaborating with them to offer web design services to their customers. Workforce Systems felt that their own website was beginning to look a bit dated and wanted a more modern, fresh look. I created a PSD template for them and they are currently working with their developer to integrate it with their content management system.
Get Ready Student Induction
As part of their ‘Get Ready’ microsite, a site aimed at providing information to new students, the University of Salford decided to create a section providing students with a timetable of events for their induction week. The timetable would be customised to their specific course and year of study. AKA Design Solutions designed a solution where School and Course administrators throughout the University would be able to maintain their information for their own students through a simple web interface.
North Western Universities Purchasing Consortium
Created a new design for the site and built a bespoke content management system to allow staff to manage the large contracts database.

Created a new design around the official University template and built a bespoke content management system to allow staff without any technical knowledge to manage the site.
Styyle UK Limited
Created a simple brochure site using XHTML and CSS to advertise Styyle UK’s teeth-whitening product.

GDA+SR Arquitectos
AKA Design Solutions was outsourced by Duarte Carrilho da Graça to produce a template design for the architect firm, GDA+SR Arquitectos. A template for a homepage, content page and presentation slide was produced.
Crescent Purchasing Consortium
Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) is a purchasing consortium run by the University of Salford for Further Education colleges and for which I work part-time as their resident web developer. The CPC site required two areas - an open access section about the Consortium for the general public and a restricted members-only area, which would allow staff from member colleges to register and use a personal login to access specific information. I was able to build the CPC a database-driven solution including a bespoke content management system, allowing staff without any HTML knowledge to maintain and update their site. The site has recently been redesigned following some extensive usability testing.
